    Een afdichtring voor een thermische schakelaar is een afdichtingscomponent die zorgt voor een lekvrije verbinding op de plaats waar de schakelaar is geïnstalleerd. De functie ervan is het voorkomen van lekkage van vloeistof of lucht, terwijl de juiste druk en nauwkeurige temperatuurmeting behouden blijven.

    Belangrijke specificaties zijn onder andere de binnen- en buitendiameter, de dikte, het materiaal (zoals rubber of hittebestendig elastomeer), de temperatuurbestendigheid en de compatibiliteit met de thermische schakelaar en het systeem.
