    De Air Filter (AM 401/2) beschermt de motor door een schone, onbelemmerde luchtstroom te leveren voor optimale prestaties. Het vervangen van een vuil filter verbetert de brandstofefficiëntie en garandeert een lange levensduur van de motor. Gebruik de slimme zoekfunctie van Porza om het juiste filter te vinden.

    Een luchtfilter is een onderdeel van het inlaatsysteem van de motor dat stof, vuil en andere verontreinigingen uit de binnenkomende lucht verwijdert voordat deze de motor bereikt. De functie ervan is het garanderen van een schone luchtstroom, wat essentieel is voor een efficiënte verbranding, motorprestaties en de bescherming van interne onderdelen tegen slijtage en schade.


    Belangrijke specificaties zijn onder andere de filtratie-efficiëntie, de luchtstroomcapaciteit, de filterafmetingen en het materiaaltype (papier, schuim of synthetisch). Het filter moet een balans vinden tussen effectieve verwijdering van deeltjes en voldoende luchtstroom. Het moet ook bestand zijn tegen de temperaturen in de motorruimte, die doorgaans variëren van 80 tot 120 °C, en de structurele integriteit behouden onder wisselende luchtstroomomstandigheden.

Een verstopt luchtfilter kan de motorprestaties verminderen, het brandstofverbruik verhogen en leiden tot hogere emissies. De vervangingsfrequentie hangt af van de rijomstandigheden; in stoffige omgevingen is een frequentere vervanging vereist.
