    Een dynamo-regelaar, ook wel spanningsregelaar genoemd, is een elektronisch onderdeel dat de uitgangsspanning van de dynamo regelt. De functie ervan is om een stabiel spanningsniveau te handhaven om de accu en het elektrische systeem te beschermen tegen overladen of onderladen.


    Belangrijke specificaties zijn onder andere de spanningswaarde, stroomcapaciteit, connectortype, montageontwerp en compatibiliteit met de dynamo en het voertuig. Het moet nauwkeurige spanningsregeling bieden onder wisselende bedrijfsomstandigheden.


    Vervanging is nodig wanneer de spanningsregelaar defect raakt of onnauwkeurig wordt. Veelvoorkomende symptomen zijn overladen of onderladen van de accu, schommelende spanning, waarschuwingslampjes of problemen met het elektrische systeem.
