    Een asafdichting voor een nokkenas is een afdichtingsonderdeel dat is gemonteerd op het punt waar de nokkenas de cilinderkop verlaat. De functie ervan is om te voorkomen dat motorolie lekt en tegelijkertijd het nokkenasgebied te beschermen tegen vuil en andere verontreinigingen.
