    Een dynamo is een elektrisch onderdeel dat stroom opwekt voor het voertuig terwijl de motor draait. De functie ervan is om elektriciteit te leveren aan de elektrische systemen van het voertuig en de accu op te laden.

    Belangrijke specificaties zijn onder andere de spanning, de stroomsterkte, het type katrol, de montagewijze, het type connector en de compatibiliteit met het voertuig. Het moet voldoende elektrische stroom leveren voor alle systemen.
