    Motorolie is een smeermiddel dat wordt gebruikt in verbrandingsmotoren. De functie ervan is het verminderen van wrijving tussen bewegende onderdelen, het koelen van motoronderdelen, het reinigen van verontreinigingen, het voorkomen van corrosie en het zorgen voor een soepele werking van de motor.
