    Een omleidingsklep, ook wel bypass- of afblaasklep genoemd, is een onderdeel dat wordt gebruikt in motoren met turbocompressor of supercharger. De functie ervan is om overtollige turbodruk af te voeren of te recirculeren wanneer het gaspedaal wordt ingedrukt, waardoor drukopbouw wordt voorkomen en de compressor wordt beschermd tegen schade.

    De belangrijkste specificaties zijn het werkdrukbereik, het ventieltype (recirculerend of atmosferisch), het materiaal, de aansluitmaat, de regelmethode (vacuüm of elektronisch) en de compatibiliteit met het laadsysteem. Het ventiel moet snel en betrouwbaar reageren op drukveranderingen.
