    FAQ

    Een afdichtring voor een oliekoeler in het smeersysteem is een afdichtingsonderdeel dat wordt gebruikt bij de aansluitpunten van de oliekoeler. De functie ervan is het voorkomen van motorolielekkages en het handhaven van een juiste olietoevoer en -druk binnen het systeem.

    Belangrijke specificaties zijn onder andere de binnen- en buitendiameter, de dikte, het materiaal (zoals oliebestendig rubber, FKM of PTFE), de temperatuurbestendigheid, de drukclassificatie en de compatibiliteit met het smeersysteem. Het moet bestand zijn tegen hitte, druk en blootstelling aan olie.

    Vervanging is noodzakelijk wanneer de afdichting versleten, uitgehard, gebarsten of lekt. Het wordt ook aanbevolen om de afdichting te vervangen wanneer de oliekoeler of bijbehorende onderdelen tijdens onderhoud worden verwijderd.
