    Een nokkenaspositiesensor is een elektronisch onderdeel dat de positie en rotatiesnelheid van de nokkenas meet. De sensor stuurt nauwkeurige timinginformatie naar de motorregeleenheid (ECU), die deze gegevens gebruikt om de brandstofinjectie, ontstekingstiming en variabele kleptiming te regelen. Dit zorgt voor optimale motorprestaties, efficiëntie en emissiebeheersing.

    Belangrijke specificaties zijn onder andere het sensortype (Hall-effect of inductief), het connectortype, het aantal pinnen, de signaaluitvoer en de montageconfiguratie.
