    Een V-riem is een rubberen riem met een trapeziumvormige doorsnede die wordt gebruikt om de kracht van de motor over te brengen op hulpcomponenten. De functie ervan is het aandrijven van systemen zoals de dynamo, waterpomp, stuurbekrachtigingspomp en airconditioningcompressor.
