    The airbag clockspring is a rotating electrical connector located inside the steering column that maintains continuous electrical connection to the driver airbag, steering wheel controls, and horn while the steering wheel turns. It allows uninterrupted signal transmission through a precisely wound ribbon cable that flexes with every steering input. The clockspring is a critical safety component that directly determines airbag deployment readiness.
